Community Engagement – Ashton Health Centre

As part of the fit out of Ashton Health Centre One Partnership commissioned artwork for the waiting areas to tie the building back to its heritage and the local community. As well as images of the former town hall and the town centre murals were created for the children’s play areas. We engaged with the local primary school where the pupils created images which were used to create the murals.

Supporting Service Delivery Change and Integration

One Partnership are working with our partners Wigan Borough CCG to develop and deliver a programme of workshops reviewing the estate to support change in service delivery and integration of health and social care. Our work supports the delivery of the Healthier Wigan Partnership objectives to create a simple joined up health and social care service.

Creating healthy places across Lancashire and South Cumbria

We developed our 9 month Local Asset Review programme with local partners, NHSE/I and Healthier Lancashire and South Cumbria ICS. Our work has supported the development of local visions and frameworks where the future infrastructure for healthy places is based on people and places, rather than buildings.

Ashton Health Centre – FF&E

One Partnership worked closely with Wigan CCG and the tenants to understand their requirements and develop the specification, colour schemes and finishes for the new health centre, built by Eric Wright Construction, to deliver a fully equipped building, with an individual, bright, modern and welcoming feel.

Capacity, Activity and Utilisation Reviews

Working with local partners, One Partnership have carried out a number of utilisation reviews across the North West to understand the patient activity, potential capacity and utilisation of the healthcare estate.  The outcomes then support our key stakeholders to maximise use of the space and enable wider estate transformation.

NWAS: Burnley Ambulance Station

Working with East Lancashire Hospital Trust and North West Ambulance Service, One Partnership developed Burnley’s new ambulance station on surplus land at Burnley General Hospital.

As part of the Local Asset Review, working with the developers of Public Health England’s SHAPE, One Partnership have created a bespoke SHAPE atlas which now includes all primary care networks (PCNs) across Lancashire and South Cumbria.  The SHAPE Atlas will inform and support strategic planning of both services and estates infrastructure across Lancashire and South Cumbria.

Making Best Use Of NHS Assets – Care Closer To Home

We identified options for a new midwife-led Birth Centre in Blackburn and refurbished an old NHS site, bringing midwifery closer to home.

Enhancing Our Communities

We work with Petrus in Rochdale where a community garden has been established on One Partnership land. Offering a range of garden based activities, Petrus enables local people, young and old, to keep well and stay healthy.

Moving Services Out Of Hospital

Working with partners in Wigan, One Partnership and CHP relocated Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh (WWL) eye unit saving the NHS £2.8m in capital savings along with increased utilisation of Wigan Health Centre.
